The New Hampshire Association of School Psychologists (NHASP) invites school psychologists at all career stages to participate in theSchool Psychology Supervision Institute, a six-session professional learning experience led by Jason P. Kaplan, Ph.D., NCSP, and Joan Struzziero, Ph.D.

Whether you are considering supervision for the first time, currently supervising practicum students or interns, mentoring early-career colleagues, or have years of supervisory experience, the Institute is designed to strengthen your practice while creating a community of school psychologists committed to developing the next generation of professionals.

More Than a Workshop

Effective supervision develops over time—and so does this Institute.

Across six interactive sessions, participants will work through real-world supervision challenges usingcase discussion, problem-solving, reflection, and peer consultation. The extended format allows participants to learn new approaches, apply them in practice, return to the group, and continue developing their supervisory skills throughout the school year.

To preserve this highly interactive, case-based experience,enrollment is limited to 20 participants.

Throughout the Institute, participants will explore:

• Effective and developmentally responsive supervision practices

• Providing meaningful feedback and fostering reflective practice

• Navigating ethical and professional challenges in supervision

• Supervising behavioral and mental health service delivery

• Supporting trainee growth, competence, and confidence

• Mentorship, leadership, and school psychology workforce development

The Institute is designed for school psychologists across the professional continuum who want to strengthen their capacity to supervise, mentor, provide meaningful feedback, navigate challenging professional situations, and support the development of future school psychologists.

Participants who complete the six-session Institute will receive12 CEUs and an NHASP School Psychology Supervision Institute Certificate of Completion.

The School Psychology Supervision Institute provides12 hours of advanced professional development focused on strengthening supervision, mentorship, behavioral health service delivery, ethical practice, and professional leadership.

School psychologists who supervise practicum students, interns, and early-career professionals play an important role in both professional preparation and workforce development. District support for participation in the Institute represents an investment not only in an individual school psychologist’s professional learning, but also in the quality of supervision and professional capacity available within the school community.

Participants completing the full Institute will earn 12 CEUs and an NHASP certificate of completion.
